Doughboyz Cashout

Intro

Doughboyz Cashout is a local Detroit rap group consisting of 5 members. The group was started in 2006 when two separate rap groups decided to become one. The members consist of HBK, Payroll, Roc, Wee and finally Doughboy Dre. All of the rap group members are from the cities west side coming from either Southfield High School or Oak Park High School. It wasn’t until two years later in 2008 when the rap group realized how far they could go, so they released their first mix tape called “We Run the City."

Music

With the release of “We Run the City” it was until then that the Doughboyz started getting recognition and started to build up their fan base. Shortly enough many of their songs were starting to be heard all around Detroit,Ohio, and in western pennsylvania especially in the club scene. In their songs the boys usually talk about their lives in the city and their rise to becoming rich. After their first mix tape being a success they set out to drop another one shortly after. Their next mix tape was called “We Run the City 2- Floodzone.” This mix tape was also a success and the fans never fail to recognize that the raps are real and the boys are not just trying to be a hip hop group that raps about things they have never been through. This still was not the end for the Doughboyz as they kept putting out their music and getting their faces out there. Their third mix tape and likely most popular was “Chances Make Champions.” This mix tape really set them off from a local level to starting to be known in different areas of their home state Michigan. On this mix tape the singles “Chances Make Champions” and “Thank God the Bag Came” were a huge hit instantly. On Youtube they have over millions of views certainly with all their videos combined. The Doughboyz are still the same boys as they started out to be. They haven’t changed their raps just to fit in with the industry. They still maintain all their fans and bring in new fans with their original real-ness. As always the group has everyone now anticipating the newest mix tape to come out called “No Deal on Chill” which will be released on November 12th.

Everyday Life

The rap group is now making appearances all over Detroit. Their new hit music is being played in local clubs as well as clubs in other cities. Their music is rapidly growing more and more popular with every mix tape that they drop. The group is also open to bookings and appearances to generally anywhere as well. Although they have hit some rough patches, including one of their members Roc being locked up, they have been able to over come and really just want the world to experience real music. The boys set out to show their fans and everyone else that real music still does exist and that they will never fall into fake music just to be in the mainstream industry. To find the Doughboyz Cashout music much of it is already on Youtube or on their home page website. (http://www.doughboyzcashoutent.com) You can also find them on other music sites such as Datpiff, LastFm etc... Even though the rappers are becoming more popular they still are able to keep their independence and have no producer or big team to help them out, the rap group takes care of their music on their own.It is not likely that one will find much background information on the Doughboyz as individuals. They all have social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook, however the rap group likes to remain low key in every aspect other than their music, so much of their background information really is not out there.Doughboyz Cashout was on the rise to fame and may still be. As the years go on they are still putting on hits to make the fans happy. The Cashout boys will always grealtly be supported by their local friends and family and hopefully they continue to push and keep making music. From club hits to slow songs the young rap group has a lot of potential to be something big. It is all a matter of how far they want to go. The boys have made it farther than anyone could imagine for a local group and their road to fame still is not yet over.
